We understand the struggle and the barriers that exist in the cannbis industry for black people.
Access to alternative funding sources and regulatory constraints pose significant obstacles in the Black cannabis industry. We identify a critical issue as the underrepresentation of Black individuals within banking sectors, governmental bodies, financial service entities, and in the development of products tailored to our requirements. Overcoming these barriers requires engagement from individuals who empathize with and understand our challenges.

This led me to ponder, "How can Black individuals gain access to cannabis licensing opportunities?" My work with my BCA students, coupled with my personal experiences, has shown me the importance of representation, access to resources and information, and visibility.
Without these, you're essentially isolated, attempting to make your way in an industry that doesn't consider our challenges.
